Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has informed the Government of Yukon that they are increasing the territory’s number of allocations under the Provincial Nominee Program for 2023. This will allow more foreign workers to come to the Yukon under the Yukon Nominee Program.
This change increases the Yukon’s nominee allocations from 300 to 430 for the year. The program helps employers fill crucial positions with foreign nationals who intend to settle in the Yukon, strengthening the territory’s workforce.
The Yukon government is committed to helping businesses across the territory meet their labour needs. Economic immigration is an essential tool for attracting workers and developing a labour force that supports investment and economic growth, while meeting the needs of Yukon businesses.
This welcome increase to the Yukon’s nominee allocation is the result of productive conversations with our federal partners regarding feedback we received from our business community. This increase will allow us to further support our economy and help more prospective Canadians make the Yukon a place they can call home.
