
Team Yukon has made Yukoners proud with their achievements at the 2022 Canada 55+ Games.
A record 143 athletes took part in this year’s Games from August 23 through 26 in Kamloops, B.C. This year, Team Yukon took home a total of 74 medals, including 20 gold, 30 silver and 24 bronze.
Team Yukon athletes competed in 19 events, including track and field, swimming, pickleball, slo-pitch, cycling and dragon boat racing.
The next Games will take place in Trois-Rivières, Quebec in 2024.
Team Yukon continues to inspire Yukoners and athletes at the Canada 55+ Games and proudly displayed our territory’s talent and skill on a national stage. Thank you to the many volunteers and staff who supported Team Yukon through these Games, especially the ElderActive Recreation Association and Team Yukon 55+ organizing committee.

The Canada 55+ Games bring together more than 2,500 participants from across the country every two years to compete at a national level and participate in variety of athletic, recreational and social events.

The ElderActive Recreation Association leads the organization of Team Yukon at the Canada 55+ Games, with the support of an organizing committee as well as funding and support from the Government of Yukon.

The Government of Yukon provided $50,000 to support Team Yukon’s participation at these Games.
